A Must-Have Book
I highly recommend you add Thomas Brooks' classic 1643 book, Precious Remedies Against Satan's Devices, to your library. Brooks was one of the great Puritan pastors. In this book he has laid bare the many schemes (devices) of Satan (see Ephesians 6:11 and 2 Cor 2:11), and the explicit "remedies" that God has provided us.
Christian encouragement for men -- an evangelical perspective on current events, Scripture, and coming up the husband and father learning curve. Boldness without gentleness is tyranny; gentleness without boldness is not Christlike. Jesus was both tough and tender.
